Goblin Valley State Park is known for having gorgeous rock formations, a variety of hiking trails for all skill levels and a night sky devoid of light pollution. Many people compare the landscape at this state park to that of Mars. Some of the animals you might see roaming this wonderful landscape are coyotes, kangaroo rats, scorpions, kit foxes and jackrabbits.
Visitors love coming here to wander the park with little regulations. Take a picture in front of the red sandstone or climb down into a cave. You especially won't want to miss taking a picture at Goblin Overlook.
Most restaurants are at least a 40-minute drive away, so bring your own food and water. Don't bring in fireworks or other prohibited items. Please do not vandalize the rocks or remove any plants or animals.
If you're planning on visiting the park for a long term, then consider
volunteering to help staff the gift shop, assist incoming campers or maintain the landscape. You must be 18 years or older.
